We were happy to design and to organize a 3-day tailor-made seminar for 18 teachers from Liechtenstein (Oberschule Eschen). It took place in Lisbon (04.-08.05.2016), the title of the seminar was >Cultural and Historical Aspects in Dealing with Migration at the Borders of the Schengen Area<. Lisbon with its past, i.e. its former colonies and more and more people coming nowadays (for different reasons), Lisbon is the perfect place to talk and to learn about this topic.
Besides visting the CNAI and ACM to learn more about the "One-Stop-Shop-Model", we had insightful meetings with Dr. Joffre Justino (EPAR), Mário Alves (Centro InterculturaCidade), António Brito Guterrez (Dinamia'cet) and Anne Harrop (Aga Khan Foundation). In the neighborhood of Arroios, where people from about 80 nationalities are living, we had Nepalese food and in the suburbs of Pendão we realized that official storytelling and reality are sometimes far apart.
